Ian from Southend says: With a hobby in woodworking, I haven't got the skills yet to sharpen my chisels so I decided to get someone to do them for me. I called and they are really pleasant and the process of using the lockers is ideal as I could pop by for drop off and pick up at a time that suited me and the payment process is slick. My chisels came back wrapped safely and absolutely razor sharp. They will make my hobby so much easier and enjoyable and I doubt I'll even bother to learn to sharpen them myself at this price per chisel. (chisels, Jul22)

Had my dog grooming blades and scissors sharpened, they replaced required parts on one blade but most importantly managed to save my scissors that it appears someone had attempted to sharpen with a knife block and nearly ruined. Terri from Chelmsford says: Would like to thank Sharpening Solutions. When Joe sharpened my blades and we tested them, they weren’t picking the test coat up. We tried them on another set of clippers and realised the problem was with my clippers; the lug nut thingy bit that the blades sit on were worn, thus allowing too much movement in the blades, thus blades slack and not picking coat up. Quick online order to the cost of about a fiver and my clippers are back to perfection!! I was all up for replacing my clippers at a cost of (cough) £100’s and it cost £5. It’s a blessing that Joe tests the blades, I can only imagine the trouble I would have created for myself had I sent my blades away only to ASSUME they were blunt, when actually it was a very minor, inexpensive fault with MY machine!! Wing Commander Lacey (rtrd) from Marlborough says: had a drawer full of old kitchen knives which I inherited. We tried them on another set of clippers and realised the problem was with my clippers; the lug nut thingy bit that the blades sit on were worn, thus allowing too much movement in the blades, thus blades slack and not picking coat up. Quick online order to the cost of about a fiver and my clippers are back to perfection!! I was all up for replacing my clippers at a cost of (cough) £100’s and it cost £5. It’s a blessing that Joe tests the blades, I can only imagine the trouble I would have created for myself had I sent my blades away only to ASSUME they were blunt, when actually it was a very minor, inexpensive fault with MY machine!! Wing Commander Lacey (rtrd) from Marlborough says: had a drawer full of old kitchen knives which I inherited.
